IAS 37- Provisions, Contingent Liabilities and Contingent Assets prescribes (with few exceptions as specified
in the standard) the accounting and disclosure for all provisions, contingent liabilities and contingent assets.
Our
workshop on this topic will address the definitions and interpretations of the concepts addressed in the standard and explore
their practical application through the use of examples, group discussion, questions and case analysis.
We shall
also provide some insight into the IASB's current thinking in respect of the proposed amendments to this standard.
The
Workshop, which costs TT$700 plus VAT per person, inclusive of handouts and refreshments, will take place on February 11th,
2009 at the Royal Hotel in San Fernando. It runs from 8:00 am to 12:15 pm and is elegible for four (4) CPD hours..
